電子紙是被設計為模仿墨水在真實紙上顯現圖文的顯示器。它不同於一般的平面顯示器，使用背光燈照亮像素以呈現圖像或文字，只需要非穩定的微電量就可以持續影像的呈現，並且可以皺摺和彎曲，幾近於紙張。

電子紙的研發克服了電腦螢幕使用上的限制。例如：人的眼睛很難適應螢幕的反光，而電子紙的反射光就如同紙張容易被閱讀。或許它的彈性不比紙張，但是它的輕薄、耐用與高彈性等特徵更勝於其他技術的顯示器。

電子紙技術的革新，使得我們習慣紙張閱讀的人，在面臨環保的問題上，能夠承接以往閱讀的習慣並減少紙張的浪費。提早了解未來可能經常使用的一種傳播媒介，幫助操作上的便利。

Many people want to transact their works as an E-book. They often consider the difficulties and give up. Whatever the difficulties edit an E-book. Eyeballing screen is awful than adapting to read paper. E-book manifestations decide readers stop their eyeball on screen. Conventional film sites have HTML, PDF, CEB and ZNO etc. To show off works and to avoid be copped a lot rely on DRM. (Digital Rights Management)
